I am so looking forward to being with you at our upcoming clergy retreat at Saint Crispin’s from lunch on Tuesday, October 5th through lunch on Thursday, October 7th. Our theme will be “In Returning and Rest You Shall Be Saved” and our retreat leader will be my friend and a wonderful priest, the Reverend Beth Knowlton (also our guest speaker for diocesan convention). She is the Rector of Saint Mark’s, San Antonio and an acclaimed retreat leader.
I know many of us have been closely monitoring the rise in COVID cases as the Delta variant makes its presence known in Oklahoma. After an entirely Zoom clergy conference last year, I feel strongly that offering an in-person gathering this year is important. For safety, we are taking the following COVID precautions:
- We will be masked when inside, apart from meals, and will social distance and use outdoor spaces as we can.
- We are again covering the cost of the retreat, but will give those who wish to have a private room the option to have one for $25 per night.
As usual, the retreat is encouraged but not required for deacons, bi-vocational and retired priests. It is required for our other priests, however, if health concerns will prevent you from attending, please let me know before our registration deadline, September 24. I understand that some who would usually attend will not be able to this year
