Slay the Dragon of Poverty Fundraiser for the Guild of Saint George
The Guild of Saint George is an outreach ministry at St. Paul's Cathedral. Each year they put on the Slay the Dragon of Poverty Fundraiser to raise money for the Guild. The Guild helps folks in the downtown OKC area with paying utility bills, obtaining birth certificates for school children and a picture ID for their parents so they can obtain employment, filling prescriptions for those who have no insurance or who are under-insured, and finally seeing that each person who enters the guild’s doors leaves with food from its pantry.
The fundraiser is on Thursday, April 25th in Dean Willey Hall at St. Paul's Cathedral from 5:30-7:30 pm.
