Hope for the Harvest: The Small Church at its Best

Hope for the Harvest: The Small Church at its Best
March 9

The Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma is pleased to present Hope for the Harvest: The Small Church at its Best. This special workshop is offered by our diocese in partnership with the Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod, our local ELCA Lutheran Churches. It is open to all churches who have Average Sunday Attendance up to about 60. (Special consideration will be given to larger churches upon request.)

What is It?
A one-day conference to empower clergy and lay teams from small-member churches to explore, imagine, pray, and create plans to accomplish God’s mission in their communities. We will have a great speaker in the morning, and in the afternoon we will share ideas with other churches.

Who is Our Speaker?
Carrie Boren Headington is Canon Evangelist in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. Carrie works with Christian churches in personal and congregational evangelism, equipping them to be the hands, feet, and mouthpieces for God in their everyday lives. She will appear live at the Feb. 26 event, and by video at the March 9 events.

Who Should Come?
Lay-clergy teams from small-membership Episcopal and Lutheran congregations in Oklahoma should attend. We suggest that each congregation send a team of three to twenty-five people who have done some advance preparation (we will send you that assignment when you register) and are ready to engage.
