Last week Bishop had the opportunity to visit the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine!
He shares with us a little bit about this visit, "I was honored last week to join with an ecumenical group of local leaders, at the gracious invitation of Archbishop Paul Coakley, to tour the new Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine in Oklahoma City. It is a stunning sacred space, with a museum that tells the moving story of Blessed Stanley, a Catholic priest from Okarche, who was martyred in Guatemala in 1981. An additional excitement was meeting the new Bishop-elect of the ELCA Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod, the Rev. Becca Middeke-Conlin, there with the current Bishop, Mike Girlinghouse."
