By Robert Ellis “Bob” Baker, Diocesan Coordinator, Brotherhood of Saint Andrew

To All Episcopal Churches,

The Brotherhood of Saint Andrew is the official men’s organization of The Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion in the United States and worldwide. Over the years, we have had numerous Brotherhood Chapters throughout the Diocese of Oklahoma. We would like to have those churches who have a Brotherhood banner, to have it ready to bring to our Triennial Meeting in conjunction with our General Convention in Austin.

I would also like the opportunity to know of and help any congregations who would like to have a men’s group under the banner of Saint Andrew, or to resurrect a Chapter that has been in hiatus become re-invigorated.

We have a model that has been working well for the past 135 years to bring men together in small groups for worship, study, and service. Our leadership under President Jeff Butcher and Executive Director Tom Welch have been working to make the Brotherhood relevant and able to connect with younger men.

Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, a longtime member of The Brotherhood, has added his inspiration to the discipleship of men and youth through our organization.

And I would love to be in touch with anyone who would like to visit about starting or re-starting a Brotherhood Chapter.

Sincerely,
Bob Baker
