Holland Hall Chaplain Job Opening

Holland Hall seeks a passionate, committed chaplain who is energized by work with students, faculty, and families to serve in a full-time capacity during the academic year. Interested candidates must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment with students ranging in age from nine to fourteen with specific acumen in the classroom, including classroom management, assessment design, feedback, and clear, frequent communication with students and families. This position will work in concert with the upper school chaplain, middle school head, counselors, and faculty.

Holland Hall seeks a passionate, committed chaplain who is energized by work with students, faculty, and families to serve in a full-time capacity during the academic year. Interested candidates must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment with students ranging in age from nine to fourteen with specific acumen in the classroom, including classroom management, assessment design, feedback, and clear, frequent communication with students and families. This position will work in concert with the upper school chaplain, middle school head, counselors, and faculty.

Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

- Conduct, coordinate, and plan weekly chapel services
- Teaching religious education classes for middle school students (grades four - eight)
- Offering pastoral care for all students, families, faculty, and staff
- Assisting with a weekly optional Eucharist service
- Assisting with the annual religious events (e.g. Lessons and Carols, Ash Wednesday, Baccalaureate, etc.)

Interested candidates will enjoy working with professional and collaborative colleagues who provide each child with an opportunity to explore and grow his or her whole self. Candidates must have experience with children in a classroom environment, a grounding in an ecumenical approach, a willingness to work in a team environment, a deep respect for children and families, and a positive and student-centered attitude.
