St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma is pleased to announce their new Interim Rector, the Rev. Dr. Mary Korte.

Originally from Rhode Island, Mary completed a BA in Sociology from Kansas State University, a Master of Divinity at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA., and a doctorate in Transformative Leadership from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. Mary was ordained a transitional Deacon, then Priest, in the Diocese of Rhode Island. She has served several parishes in Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Kansas. Mary is currently on sabbatical after serving as Rector of St Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Wichita, Kansas.

Mary has been married to her husband Tim for 43 years and they have two adult children. In her free time, Mary enjoys movies, reading, baking, the beach, Pilates, time with her family and friends, and exploring restaurants. Considering themselves “dog people,” Mary and Tim share their lives with Moxie Rose, the family’s two-year old white German Shepherd—which is in K9 search and rescue training.

Fr. Jeff Huston, associate priest at St. Andrew's, says, "St. Andrew's is very excited for her arrival and looking forward to working with her to reclaim and rediscover who God is calling the St. Andrew's to be in the Stillwater community."

Mary's first Sunday will be December 1st.
