St. Michael's, Norman calls Interim, Fr. Brent Carey
St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Norman, Oklahoma calls the Rev. Brent Carey as Interim Rector.
The Rev. Brent Carey was ordained to the priesthood in 1997 in the Diocese of California. Over the past 23 years of ministry, he has served parishes in the dioceses of New Hampshire, Southwestern Virginia, San Diego, Western Michigan, and Kansas. He served as the Rector of St. David’s, San Diego for nearly a decade and has served as a hospital chaplain.
In 2015, Fr. Carey felt called to transition to interim work, and he has served many congregations in this capacity.
Fr. Carey is the father of four adult children and he was recently engaged to Susan Britton from Prairie Village, Kansas. Susan will join him in Norman in February 2021, and they look forward to serving in their new interim ministry together at St. Michael’s and in the Diocese of Oklahoma.
