I write to share with
you the news of a transition at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Lawton. The
Rev. Shelley Forrester will be stepping down as Rector effective February 28th.
Her last Sunday as Celebrant will be February 24th. She will continue to reside
in Lawton, where she cares for her mother.
Shelley arrived at St.
Andrew's in March of 2012, and has served as a member of Diocesan Council, an
active member of Cursillo, and as a former Dean of the Southwest Region.
The Bishop's Office is
partnering with the lay leadership of St. Andrew's to provide a pastoral and
sacramental presence while discerning next steps forward in their mission and
ministry.
I ask you to please keep
Shelley; her family; and St. Andrew's, Lawton in your prayers during this time
of transition.
