The Rev. Dale Plummer
Diocesan Military Missioner
The Military Missioner will assist our congregations throughout the diocese to further the mission of the Church by serving the spiritual support and care of active/retired service members, families, veterans, and widows/widowers.
Fr. Plummer is married to Sharon Plummer and they share two children, Thomas and Kensey. Sharon has worked as a teacher assistant. Fr. Plummer and Sharon were married in 1984, when he was working with the Harvey County Sheriff's Office as a 911 dispatcher. He received his first degree from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History, and began working for a law firm in Wichita, KS specializing in aviation product liability prior to going to seminary.
Fr. Plummer graduated from The School of Theology at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. After he was ordained to the priesthood he served as curate at St. David's in Topeka. Following his curacy, Fr. Plummer was called to serve as priest in charge and later called as the rector at the Church of the Covenant in Junction City, KS.
For the last 10 years Fr. Plummer has been serving at St. Andrew's in Roswell, New Mexico. Fr. Plummer is looking forward to his new calling saying, "We are excited and I am a little overawed how quickly the portions of God’s grace have been laid upon our table of thanksgivings. We feel blessed and excited in our upcoming move to the Diocese of Oklahoma and the Midwest City area."
