In the Episcopal Church in Oklahoma,
we recognize stewardship of our financial resources as one of the practices
essential to Christian discipleship. The work we do
in stewardship is not primarily about funding the Church. Rather the work is about
helping people to have an open relationship with Christ and deepening their
spiritual walk. God rejoices in our giving as a sacramental sign of our discipleship and part of our Christian calling. After all, we are made in the
image of God: the good, generous, and loving God who gives us all that we have
and all that we are as a free gift.
