St. Luke's Art and Wine Show


 St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Chickasha hosted  "Art is for Everyone" show and sale from 6:30 to 10 p.m; Friday and Saturday, June 10-11, 2022. The show, in the St. Luke's Parish Hall at 6th Street and Kansas Ave, featured the work of 11 St. Luke's congregation members.

Hundreds of guests filled the Parish Hall to view the vast array of work in oil, acrylic, sculpture, books, and other mediums. Artists included: Buddy Blevins, the late Pamela Carlin, Gina Crosley, John and Glenda Crump, Jack Donellan, Pete Hammert, Bob and Carol Kulhman, the late Susan McCaughtry, Bob Powell, Jeni Richardson, and Wes Hallmark. 

 Shakespeare Wine Company, St. Luke's new neighbor at 524 W. Kansas, offered wine tasting throughout the evening from their soon-to-come offerings from their cellar.Music was provided by the Reverend Bill Carlin and Mr. Jerry Hughes. There was also a wide selection of cheese and Hor d'oeuvers to accompany the wine selections and a palatable nonalcoholic sangria. The St. Luke's Nave was also open during the evening for guests to view Chickasha's oldest and perhaps the most beautiful Church in continuous use since 1900.
