St. Aidan%27s Hosts Dinner for Football Team

St. Aidan's Hosts Dinner for Football Team

St. Aidan's in Tulsa hosted a spaghetti dinner for the  football team of Booker T. Washington High School last week! The congregation invited the team for a special dinner before they play the first round of 6A-II State Playoffs.

Jeremy Jackson, coordinated the dinner for  Booker T. football players, he shared with us why the congregation wanted to host a special dinner, "We wanted to give back to the community and let people know that St. Aidan’s supports north Tulsa."

"One of Fr. Skip’s first objectives after being called to St. Aidan’s was to reach out to the community. I’m so glad that him and I were presented with this chance to give back to the community and I’m even more happy that we pulled it off successfully. "

Community engagement is one of the key signs of congregational vitality. The Rev. Skip, shared with us that St. Aidan's has plans to apply for the congregational vitality grants the Diocese offers. He hopes this first spaghetti dinner is one of many community engagement events in St. Aiden's future.
