All Saints’ Episcopal Church celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a three-day event! It was fun to see Church family gather for a homecoming and joyous celebration.
The weekend began with a social gathering held at the Paul Thomas Family Center on Friday evening. Entertainment was provided by Tammy Willcox, a harpist. Saturday morning, Waffles and Bluegrass were served at the church. Dr. Bill Able and friends cooked up waffles and sausage and our friends from St. Andrew’s, Grove provided wonderful bluegrass music for our listening enjoyment. Saturday evening a lovely candlelight steak meal was cooked by the A-team, a local group of Shriners. Dinner music was provided by Annie Walser, a pianist. Community members and friends throughout the Northeast Region came to dine with us and, once again, our friends from St. Andrew’s helped us out by serving and helping with the cleanup.
Mrs. Willcox brought her harp to enhance our Sunday morning worship. The Adult Choir sang Prayer of St. Francis by Allen Pote accompanied by Mrs. Eleanor Botts. Many parishioners wore their anniversary cross designed and made by silversmith and parishioner Jera Rendel. After the service, an Anniversary Cake decorated to look like the red door was served. All Saints’ is looking forward to the next 100 years of ministry in Northeastern Oklahoma!
Thanks to all who helped us celebrate this wonderful anniversary!
