Grace Muskogee Shelter Update 6/11/19

Grace Muskogee Shelter Update 6/11/19

As you know, since May 27th GRACE MUSKOGEE has been the Red Cross and Emergency Management Shelter for the Muskogee Area, housing family members displaced by the flooding and rains.

Due to the tireless efforts of the Red Cross Shelter staff, and Red Cross Case Workers, those families displaced by the storms and flooding have been placed in longer term temporary situations so they can start clean- up of their flooded homes, or start anew with OHFA and FEMA help.

We are thankful to be now in the wind-down phase of our shelter operation. We will be able to close out the shelter at Grace at noon Wednesday. The Red Cross shelter teams, chaplains, nurses, supply folk, and every single volunteer, have been absolutely amazing. These people are truly the Lord’s hands and hearts here in this place.

Again, Thank you to everyone who helped set up, brought supplies, prayed for us and our charges, and offered to sit in if needed! Bless you all!

Please continue to keep all those affected by the storms and flooding in your prayers. The hardest part of the recovery is ahead for these resilient Oklahomans.

Prayers and Blessings for them and for you, B.J. (918-260-3517)

IF YOU WISH TO DONATE TO THE GRACE SHELTER - make your check to Grace and put "Shelter" on the memo line! Or share online here.  Again thank you!!! Blessings from Grace.
