Upcoming Cursillo Weekend

Friends, you are invited to an upcoming Cursillo weekend on Sept. 10-13 atCanyon Camp and Conference Centernear Hinton, OK. Set aside a weekend to deepen your own personal understanding of Christ's love for you through this reflective faith journey. Registration deadline is Aug. 15th.

Three short sentences describe the core purpose of the Cursillo Movement:

Make a friend. Be a friend. Bring a friend to Christ.

Cursillo is a way of living out our Baptismal Covenant to learn and grow in Christ's love. Dedicating ourselves to Christ - through piety, study, and action - enables our faith to become what we need it to be: deeply felt, lived in daily life, and spread by love in word and deed.

You are invited to attend the next Oklahoma Cursillo immersive weekend, to be held September 10-13, 2026, at Canyon Camp and Conference Center near Hinton, OK. Speak with your clergy about Cursillo, to see who in your church has been to Cursillo and might sponsor you. The sponsor's role is to prepare and support a pilgrim before, during, and following a Cursillo weekend - essential parts of becoming a Cursillo "pilgrim". (If there are n o lay members or clergy of your congregation who have joined the Cursillo movement, please contact Allen Mann, co-president of the Oklahoma Episcopal Cursillo Secretariat (governing body) to help you find a sponsor.) Other weekends are being arranged for 2026.

An application is attached below with brief sections for you, your clergy, and your sponsor. Please complete and submit by August 15, 2026, for the upcoming weekend.
