Executive Director St. Crispin’s

Dear Diocese of Oklahoma and friends of St. Crispin's,

On behalf of the board of directors for St. Crispin's Conference Center + Camp, I'm pleased to announce that we have named Richard Bombach as our Executive Director.  Richard has been with us for six months as interim director and he has impressed staff, clients & group leaders, clergy and the board.  Richard brings a lot of energy and positivity to his work; hospitality flows naturally. But the thing that impresses me most is his ministry mindset. Even in the administration work, he understands that everything we do at St. Crispin's is about Hospitality, Nourishment, and Growth. Every encounter is a chance to meet Christ. And every retreat and event is a life touched and even transformed. St. Crispin's is holy ground. It is a home away from home for so many of us. I know that with Richard at the helm, we are in good hands!

Meet Richard

I am incredibly grateful and excited to serve as the Executive Director of St. Crispin’s Conference Center and Camp. My wife, Jessica, and I first met years ago while serving together as camp counselors in Texas, and today we are raising our two daughters, Amaya and Annabelle. Our family is deeply thankful to put roots down and call this sacred place home.

I have spent more than 20 years in camping and retreat ministry. That journey took me from Oklahoma to Texas and Florida, and now, back to God’s country. I am a proud Oklahoma State graduate, please do not hold that against me, as I am still recovering from a few tough football seasons. When I am not at camp, you will usually find me playing a round of golf, working on a woodworking project, shooting a little basketball, playing guitar, or following my girls around to their school activities.

I am also a two-time cancer survivor, a reality that has given me a deep sense of gratitude and a unique perspective on life. Each day feels like a gift not promised, and that perspective shapes how I lead, how I listen, and how I serve.

Over the past six months, I have loved building relationships with the groups who have come through St. Crispin’s. The warmth, hospitality, and faithfulness of this community have made it clear that this is exactly where I am meant to be. My favorite part of my work is helping others discover the best versions of themselves, and St. Crispin’s is a place where faith, connection, and growth naturally come together. I cannot wait to welcome more of you to this wonderful place so many of us call Home.

Richard Bombach, Executive Director
