Emmanuel-Harrah Pub Update

Emmanuel-Harrah began on Easter Sunday 2023 with seven people worshipping at the Black Raven Pub in Harrah. This past Easter, sixteen people attended. On Sunday, May 4th, they held their first worship service at a new location in Harrah, with 29 people present.

In February, Bishop Poulson visited the Pub for Confirmation. Three people from Emmanuel-Harrah were confirmed, along with two others from St. Mary’s, Edmond. Thirty-three people attended the service, filling the worship area of the Pub.

The move to a new location comes in response to steady growth and a desire for more opportunities for learning and fellowship. The Black Raven Pub, which is closed on Sundays, had been rented for Sunday services. But is an active pub and is open to the public during the week.

Though most worship has moved, Emmanuel-Harrah will continue to gather at the Pub for “Pub Theology” every second Thursday of the month.

The new location is at 18735 NE 23rd Street, Harrah, near the Turnpike between Choctaw and Harrah. Worship takes place every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
