Retreat in Daily Life
Maybe you sense that the world is speeding by at a dizzying pace. Do you hear a still small voice calling you to refuge? Perhaps an Ignatian Adventure is for you! Registration period for Retreat in Daily Life is open now through September.
Before beginning the exercises in October, retreatants practice prayer methods in August and September they will encounter in the following months. You can choose from three program lengths: 32 weeks, 12 weeks, or 8 weeks. Each participant is assigned to a small group that meets weekly and to a spiritual director with whom they meet monthly. Daily, retreatants focus on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They do this through prayer and scripture readings outlined in Ignatian Adventures, and by following the Ignatian principle of “finding God in all things.” Retreat in Daily Life (RIDL) is a Diocesan program sponsored by St. Brigid School of Spiritual Direction. The daily retreat helps participants realize the closeness and profound love of God, and helps them find their role in God’s Kingdom.
Retreat in Daily Life is a 500-year-old prayer journey based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuits. A significant number of people in our Diocese have participated in this eight-month retreat. The common response from them is, “It was life changing!” For details and to register click the button below.
