Taste of Retreat in Daily Life

The Diocese of Oklahoma, through St. Brigid School of Spiritual Direction, is piloting a shortened 8-week or 12-week Taste of Retreat in Daily Life this summer, a condensed form of the traditional 8 month Retreat In Daily Life curriculum. St John’s, Oklahoma City, Emmanuel, Shawnee and St. Patrick’s, Broken Arrow, were chosen as three of four churches to conduct this pilot program which is offered at no cost to participants.

Retreat in Daily Life is a 500-year-old prayer journey based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius, founder of the Jesuits. In this summer program, a trained Retreat in Daily Life facilitator will join the congregations starting Thursday, May 22, 6:30-8 pm (St. John’s - for 8 weeks), Wednesday, May 21, 6-7:30 pm (Emmanuel, Shawnee - for 8 weeks)  and Wednesday, June 4, 9-10 am (St. Patrick’s - for 12 weeks)

Groups are limited to 10 participants to create an opportunity for deep sharing and spiritual growth.

To sign up for this special opportunity or for questions, contact Page Jackson at stbrigidssd@epiok.org for more information.
