New Director of Children, Youth and Summer Camp

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew Wilson as our new Director of Children, Youth and Summer Camp. Matt will begin on September 1st, 2026.

Bishop Poulson welcomed Wilson to the diocesan staff, sharing, "I am really pleased to have Matt joining our staff. The Christian formation of children and youth, especially at St. Crispin’s Summer Camp, is one of our most important ministries. Matt has demonstrated experience in developing leaders and a passion for this life-changing work."

Since 2017, Matt Wilson has served in multiple roles for the University of Oklahoma's Fitness & Recreation Department. Most recently holding the position of Membership Coordinator, he oversaw membership operations, customer service functions, marketing initiatives, and life-saving skills programming. In addition to his work at the university, Matt served as Youth Minister at St. John's Episcopal Church in Norman. A two-time University of Oklahoma graduate, Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations in 2010 and a Master's degree in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration in 2013. Matt currently lives in Norman, Oklahoma, with his wife, Cathy, and their three children, Ayn, James, and Russell.

Canon Kate Bond shared her excitement, "Matthew has a deep love of St. Crispin's Summer Camp, New Beginnings, and congregational formation, while bringing a unique background in recreational management and team building with young adults. His enthusiasm is palpable, and he is a much-needed asset in our Ministry Partner work as we continue to expand ways in which we support congregations in the areas of formation and discipleship."
