Vernon AME Prayer Wall Dedication

Monday, May 31st, marked the 100th Anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. In Tulsa, the Greenwood District was known as Black Wall Street, a thriving community of black-owned businesses, organizations, and places of worship. Last weekend the Greenwood District hosted dozens of events to commemorate the horrific destruction and violence that occurred 100 years ago.

Sacred Ground Training

Sacred Ground is an intensive 21 week (meetings every other week after the first meeting) dialogue course intended to deepen our understand, knowledge, and experiences as it relates to racial dialogue in our country and restorative justice. Sacred Ground dialogue circles are group-facilitated and begin on June 6th (7PM) with an informational and introductory session with the first dialogue circle taking place on the 13th of June.

New Hope began as an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Church in 1992 serving children at St. Crispin’s through summer camps. Now as a non-profit organization supported by Episcopal churches and Episcopalians throughout the state, New Hope serves hundreds of children annually through case management, after-school programs, family events, and summer camps.
