Adult Christian Formation
The Episcopal Church in Oklahoma values
adults of all ages as valuable members of our Church, and we offer targeted
ministries to help you grow in your spiritual journey.
Adults (35+)
can be in a variety of life stages, having experienced a variety of life
transitions and transformative moments, and engaged in a variety of faith
formation programs and events. Therefore, we want to ensure that we are not
only reaching everyone where they are, but are also providing opportunities for
them to grow in their spiritual life.
The Episcopal
Church believes in the Charter for Lifelong Christian Formation, which supports a continued growth in the
knowledge, service and love of God as followers of Christ and is informed by
Scripture, Tradition and Reason. Providing lifelong resources for adults can
help them grow spiritually, find their place in ministry, and serve in new and
exciting ways. With the wide variety of gifts adults bring, we want to ensure
that we are providing ministry options and opportunities to help them continue
to grow in their spiritual journey.
At the diocesan level, we also offer
some opportunities for adult faith formation and community:
Education for Ministry (EfM)
Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry.
