Oklahoma Episcopalians, is God
possibly calling you or someone you know in your congregation to follow Jesus
as an ordained priest or deacon?
Are you already a priest (in Oklahoma
or elsewhere) and open to discerning a new call?
If so, these pages may answer some of
your questions and tell you whom to contact about answering the call of our
Lord Jesus Christ in the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.
We are always looking for energetic,
mission-minded, Christ-centered clergy to partner with our dedicated Oklahoma lay
leaders in advancing what our Presiding Bishop calls the Episcopal Branch of
the Jesus Movement. There are many ways that ordained ministers help equip
God’s People for ministry. In the Diocese of Oklahoma, we are committed to
building healthy and vital congregations, filled with followers of Jesus who
worship God, grow spiritually, share their faith, and serve those in need. Everything
we do is informed by the life and teachings of Jesus, as set forth in the Holy Scriptures, the Book of Common Prayer, and our Baptismal Covenant.
If you are looking to help God change
lives in the love of Jesus with some of the best people in the world, ordained
ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma may be for you.
The Rev. Canon Bill Carroll, Canon for
Clergy Transitions and Congregational Life, oversees the ordination and
transition process in the Diocese of Oklahoma. Contact Canon Bill at CanonBill@epiok.org.
