New Latino Missioner for Tulsa

The Diocese of Oklahoma is delighted to announce that the Rev. Alberto Moreno Casas has been appointed by the Bishop as the new Latino Missioner for Tulsa.

The Diocese of Oklahoma is delighted to announce that the Rev. Alberto Moreno Casas has been appointed by the Bishop as the new Latino Missioner for Tulsa. He will be leading the Latino congregation meeting at St. Dunstan's, Tulsa.

Fr. Alberto comes to us from the Diocese of Northwest Texas, where he has served as Vicar of San Miguel Arcangel, Odessa, a Latino mission that has seen rapid growth since his arrival in 2012. He is originally from Mexico and was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest there. He was received into the Anglican Church of Mexico in 2009 and served there until coming to the United States in 2012.
Fr. Alberto is originally from Monterrey, Mexico, and was educated at the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosí, the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, and the Universidad de Monterrey. He is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Ministry degree at Virginia Theological Seminary. He and his wife Malgorzata (Gosia), have two elementary-age daughters, Saron and Mayka.

Fr. Alberto intends to begin work in Tulsa by July 1st.
