We are pleased to share that Mary (Molly) Tolbert will be joining Gary Derrick as Co-Chancellor along with the continued service of Vice-Chancellor Tom Williams.
Molly brings extensive legal knowledge to the Diocese. She focuses her practice in litigation, antitrust, and securities law. She is an experienced attorney licensed to practice in Oklahoma, Massachusetts, and Washington DC, as well as being admitted to practice before numerous federal courts, including the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Molly is currently a member of the Litigation and Antitrust sections of the American Bar Association and, while working towards her Juris Doctor, she was an active member of the Yale Law Review, the Yale Journal of Regulation, and the Yale Legal History Forum.
Bishop Poulson shared his thoughts on the new appointment, “Our diocese was blessed for many years by the wise counsel of Bill Cathcart, who gave so generously of his time and expertise as Chancellor for the good of our diocese, congregations, and institutions. Since our last Diocesan Convention in October, we have been faithfully served by Chancellor Gary Derrick, joined now by Co-Chancellor Molly Tolbert, along with the continued service of Vice-Chancellor Tom Williams. Molly, as the newest member of the team, is a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Cathedral, with a gifted legal mind. I welcome her to this important role, with gratitude.”
