St. Dunstan's in Tulsa and the Diocese are excited to announce that the Rev. Chris Cole has been called to be their next Priest-in-charge. Fr. Chris will begin ministry at St. Dunstan's on July 1.
Fr. Chris joins them from Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he has served as Priest-in-charge since April 2022. He holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Tulsa and a bachelor's in History from the University of Kansas. He graduated cum laude from Virginia Theological Seminary in May 2020 with a Master of Divinity. He was ordained to the priesthood on July 25, 2020, at Trinity Episcopal Church Tulsa, the first priest Bishop Poulson ordained. Following his curacy at Trinity Tulsa, he was called to serve at Grace Muskogee. He is married to Howard Doak, and both are proud Tulsa natives.
Fr. Chris shared what he is looking forward to, “I’m really excited to experience where the faithful innovation practices the folks at St. Dunstan’s have embraced will lead. It’s exciting to see where the curiosity, surprise and delight emerge in what the Holy Spirit is up to in the parish and its neighborhood. Following where the Spirit leads is always an adventure!”
