Canon for Finance & Administration
Canon Will oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions of the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma, in addition to consulting with congregations and clergy relating to accounting and finance.
Will Buchanan obtained his Bachelor of Business and Administration in accounting and finance from the University of Oklahoma in 2007. Prior to joining the Diocesan staff in 2018, Will worked at the Oklahoma City office of Hogan Taylor LLP, a public accounting firm. During his time in public accounting, Will worked in several industries, which include: not-for-profit, oil and gas services, telecommunications and colleges and universities. Will is a certified public accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Oklahoma Accountancy Board.
Will is married to Stephanie Buchanan, who is a registered nurse working in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit at the University of Oklahoma’s Children’s hospital. Will and Stephanie have one daughter, Addyson Kate Buchanan and a Newfie/Border Collie named Clyde.
