The Rev. Blake Woods

University of Oklahoma Chaplain at St. Anselm

Fr. Blake Woods is a born and bred Okie from Muskogee. Born in 1984 Blake was baptized at Grace Episcopal Church and attended there until 2002 when he moved to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma. While pursuing a bachelor's degree in philosophy Blake attended St. Anselm of Canterbury, the chaplaincy that is now in his care. During college Blake spent his summers being on staff at St. Crispin's and it was there that he met his future wife, Laura Beth Woods, in addition to discerning a call to the priesthood.  After graduation Blake and his new wife moved to Alexandria, Va and attended Virginia Theological Seminary until his graduation in 2011.

After a brief stint as a curate at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Ok Blake became the Episcopal Chaplain to the University of Oklahoma and has served there since 2013. In addition to his work as Chaplain at OU, Fr. Blake is a member of the Ministry Partners team, the Province 7 Representative on the national church's Young Adult and Campus Ministry Advisory Council, and sits on the Board of the National Happening Committee.

Blake is a loving father of 2 incredible kids, Owen and Elliot. A self proclaimed hobbyist, Blake can be found on most of his days off working in his woodshop, playing board and video games, or some other equally nerdy endeavor.
